Factory recall campaign for 981?
I got a letter from the dealer saying there's an outstanding recall on my '14 981S. Anyone know the scoop? They were very vague, something about "programming electronics".
Hate going there unless absolutely necessary...

I just had that update done a few weeks ago. I was told that it's necessary to improve the accuracy of the oil level indicator.
If I'm not mistaken, I think the update added one or two graduations to the virtual dipstick. One very annoying outcome was the introduction of the up-shift indicator (white triangle) even when in 'Sport Plus' mode. I'm going back to the dealership next week to see if that can be disabled.

Yes. That can be disabled.

Yeah, had mine done too. They said it was to avoid false tripping of the "check engine" etc warning messages.
