New plates arrived today: "CAYMAN"
The new plates arrived today: "CAYMAN"!
How in the world these were still available is totally beyond me!
So, does this plate double the car's value?

I seem to recall you claiming to have bought this Cayman for a female friend and that you wanted her to take them off and she was the one who wanted to keep the fake S designations on it, correct? Was she from Irvine?

I guess maybe not too different from all the guys that put turbo-style bumpers, etc. or GT3 wings on their 911s.
We are quite active in our local PCA region, and everyone knows the quirky story behind why this car has the graphics.
Thanks, ECS. The only thing we don't much care for is the graphic on the left. My SO wanted the new California "Pet Lover's" plate. We both think the graphic is cartoonish, and I told her that I think it looks like a sad king wearing a crown, rather than a dog with a cat on it's head. I guess that what we get for having prisoners make the plates.
But, we were stoked that the CAYMAN lettering was available!

Actually speed yellow = speedgelb. Renn = racing, so renngelb = racing yellow. But, of course, the plate is only seven letters, not eight.

Make sure you keep that plate clean. Don't want dirt on the C to make it look like a G - not that their is anything wrong with it. Maybe that is why that plate was still available.

What variants have you tried? I bet there's some good options. Maybe "RRRRUF"? Sounds like a barking Rottweiler

Cuda911, yes, it does double the value!!!
When I purchased a '07 Cayman S for my wife at the beginning of February, I asked her what vanity plate she wanted. I was on the phone with her while on the DMV website and typed in "CAYMAN" on a whim. She and I were both shocked when it popped up as available. We immediately reserved it even before we closed the deal on the car. We have been to a couple of car events since putting the plate on the car and constantly get asked how we were able to get it.... just lucky (I need to come up with a better story).
What is even better is that my car also has the model designation as its plate. From one "CAYMAN" owner to another ENJOY
