I like it, roll over protection that does not have to be removed to get at the engine and also retains the luggage area

Is this for track use only? Would you drive this car with no helmet on the street. Looks like a noggin knocker if you had an accident w/o a helmet!

Is this really a safe design? It looks like the roll bar tube is cut, then fastened by a single bolt to a bracket that's sloppily welded to a mounting plate. I've never seen something like this.

Ancient thread but wanted to bump this - anyone have the bodymotion bar and concerned about this bottom mounting point?

Right behind all that carpet is the factory threaded studs for the Boxster rollbar (yes, they are on the Cayman too but not used...covered in foam and carpet). Very few roll bar makers use them, but a few do.

Why on earth would you drill holes in your floor pan and then have to use a backing plate when there is a factory made mounting point waiting to be used? WTF?????????

The Hergersheimer and current GMG bar use the factory mounts. I think a diagonal across the downtubes is important also. Here's some pics.
