Sound/vibration in steering wheel when going over bumps/seams in bridges
I noticed a rattling sound and a feeling in the steering wheel when the drivers side wheels hit a bump, city *******, or went over a seam in a bridge. It felt like a plastic rattle, or something loose in the steering column.
I took it in (car still under warrantee) and had it checked out. The mechnic was able to replicate the issue, and found that the suspension parts needed to be torqued or tightened. After this was done, problem gone!
Bad news, they said this was not a warrantee item and charged for one hour labor - no big deal, but thought i would post in the event that you have a similar issue.

Hi there, any discovery from your side about which part(s) that the mechanic tightened? I also have similar problems, took it to a Porsche Specialist, they serviced/reconditioned all the possible places in suspension, steering etc and it improved vastly, but I can still hear it when the car goes over manhole covers. Would be nice if we knew precisely where your problem was, please share your findings. Thanks.
