That angle it looks a little smaller than a normal side view... Can't wait to see it in person!

Default Cayman Number Designation and Cost

Forgive my igorance, but does the Cayman have an internal, three digit code number and what is the projected base price of the Cayman S?

The internal number is C7S I believe. Base price of the S will fall between the Boxster S and base 911. Many rumors have said around $60-$62K, but no one really knows right now.

Porsche is still shying away from the 9xx designations, I guess.

That is exactly what I said when I saw it in person. Especially from the rear....

Saw one in Vancouver BC about 2 months ago... with Georgia "distributor" plates on it. They took great care to lock the car cover over top of it when it was in the hotel parkade...

Looks awesome! Would be even more so if they would just make it about a foot wider.

Almost all of my favorite cars are MUCH wider than they are tall....like Ferrari's and even the 350Z.

I still think Porsche should come out with a model to compete with the WRX's and Evo's...something in the $25K-$30K range....along the lines of the target market of the 924....a model to compete with the Honda s2000 or maybe even the pricier Elise.

Best line in regards to the Cayman was a poster who quipped "Will Alois call their version the 'Roofster'???". LOL!!!

I was one of the lucky ones who got to attend the focus group for the Cayman.
