Default Cayman mailing from Porsche

Anyone else get Cayman mail from Porsche?

Don't get your hopes up - the only picture is of the reptile, none of the car. If you got any of the Cayenne mailings before its intro you'll know what to expect.

It's a roughly 4" x 8" packet with "Don't be fooled. It knows exactly what it's doing" on the cover. As you unfold it, each page reveals another such useless phrase. Then inside there are 4 cards. The first one says "Seductive" on the front and with more vague description. There are 2 more similar cards with "Potent" and "True" on the front. Then the last card is a picture of 3 of the aforementioned reptiles in the water.

I guess it's supposed to be tantalizing, but for me it's just frustrating. It surely doesn't make me want to go out and put a deposit on one!

Bill -

Know exactly what you mean. I've got a deposit on one but have thought about taking it back with all the useless spin Porsche is putting on it.

Better yet, they send you to the website for more reptile pics and really nothing about the car. I was getting a little excited about the car, I really liked the new Boxster I drove. This ad campaign is almost as dumb as the one Infinity ran 10 years ago, lots of advertising, no pics of the car

That's what I thought of the brochure and the name, though not that kind of "crock".
