Who has replaced the fuel filter on their Diesel?
I had replaced the fuel filter in my 2012 Touareg TDI, it was easy, 5 bolts, out with the old, in with the new, bolt back up and go.
I was told by the parts guy that the aluminum bolts for the fuel filter are one-time use only, is this true?
I have heard of TTY=Torque To Yield bolts for steering wheels but not for fuel filter housings. Are these bolts under so much stress that they can only be used one time, for 20,000 miles and when removed need to be replaced?

Thanks Spyerx.
I'm not going to bother with new bolts. I know that no one on ClubTouareg has ever mentioned replacing the bolts when changing the diesel fuel filter.

I watched my dealer replace my fuel filter: no new bolts were used.
