WTB: 958 SPORT exhaust
I have a 2016 Turbo S. it came with every friggin option, EXCEPT for the Sport Exhaust.
I know there is a center console button that also needs to be addressed...so that will need to be addressed as well.
Thanks!

Put the Akrapovic rear box on. Sounds better, and adds power. I did it to my GTS, and its how it should of came from the factory. Not to loud, but louder than OEM. Incredible quality, and similar to OEM in cost.

I looked into this for my 2015 Cayenne S and based upon the price I got I do not think the vehicles(or mine at least) is pre-wired for it. I think the total cost quoted to me was in the $5700-6000 range, I know just the part from Suncoast is about $3500 so even though I lack the breakdown with me, figure that probably equated to around 8-10 hours of labor since I am sure they were quoting a higher price on the part than Suncoast charges and I think their labor rate is $190/hr.

That sounds about right, although maybe a bit high. I installed PSE on my 2010 911 4S Cab a few years ago. I think I paid about $2,200 from Suncoast, then had my indy install it for about $2,000. You're right that it's not prewired, so that took a fair bit of time but the Suncoast kit is the OEM system that fits right into the dash as fits as factory-installed. I think Suncoast has the PSE listed at closer to $2,800 so you may get it all done closer to $5,000 all in ....

The quote I had gotten to do it was from the dealership and them getting the parts. I do not think I saved the sheet of paper that I wrote it down on. I remember high 5000s. It was down to the penny, maybe it was an out the door price which would included taxes on the parts.

Oops, yup you're right - $2,800 is the 958.1 price for us lowly .1 guys ....

Why go through the expense of installing the exhaust flappers and switch to control them?
My GTS is setup so PSE is always on. Its not loud, just right IMO.
PSE off is too quiet, no desire to turn it off.

Funny enough on my AMG it too does not have their optional sport exhaust and I had considered buying Renntech's rear piece for it and using metal safety wire to keep those valves open since no easy way to make that car control those valves. I know someone who did something similar on his BMW, so guess really always an option here too.

The vacuum is obtained from the engine driven pump which is already there. Its also used for the emissions system etc.
The P console PSE switch sounds like an awfully expensive convenience.

Then even easier, just spend the $3,495 and looks like bolt on myself. But probably better off if I just purchased some aftermarket solution.

If you're just looking for an enhanced exhaust note and don't wanna spend that kind of $$, then you may want to consider secondary catbypass pipes. They're significantly cheaper (~$800 at Fabspeed) and are only a few hours of install. I dropped those onto my 2012 Cayenne S (non-PSE), and the exhaust sound is a significant upgrade. It's a pretty cost-effective solution relative to a PSE install. There's a parallel thread on this that you may already be following....
