John,

Thanks for the great sounding clips. Just to confirm, the first 2 clips are non-PSE and ONLY reflecting the secondary catbypass pipes, correct? Also, are the second 2 clips of the GTS's PSE or non-PSE?

My Cayenne S is my winter DD, and while I was happy to invest in the significant exhaust system upgrade on my 2010 C4S Cab (that I drive every day that there's no snow ), I'm looking for the best "bang for the buck" to get a better exhaust note on my Cayenne S. I just want to isolate the sound difference from the secondary catbypass upgrade on a non-PSE V8

Yes the first two clips are Non-PSE with just our SCBP, and if memory serves me right I believe both those GTS have PSE and it certainly sounds like it too haha.

I have a 2015 S non-PSE and only time I am okay with my exhaust sound is that 8-10 second deep sound it gives on a cold startup. If I could get that sound all the time I would buy something. But I too am in the same camp of fearful of what the aftermarket setups sound like in person. I never can tell via videos and really need to hear it in person and drive it some to decide. But know of no one in the Houston area with a setup I could go and hear.

I suppose the bypass pipes for $800ish is an option, assuming I installed them myself and did not like them then in theory sell them and not be out a ton of money.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on these pipes for my '12 Cayenne S, so I'll do my best to hook you up with a high quality video of before and after engine revs with the Fabspeed secondary catbypass pipes😎

Unfortunately we have different engines so it would not help much on my decision process. I think ultimately I am not going to find a sound I want since starting in 2015 is when the S got the twin turbo V6 instead of the NA V8. I just have a sinking feeling the pipes on a V6 will make it more raspy where what I want is more throaty.

Bypass pipes are the best bang for the buck, and would be a fun little experiment for you to do yourself

Super thrilled to have you getting a set of the pipes! I appreciate the business, and look forward to hearing how it turns out for you

Snipe, I think it would be a great idea if you installed these and then let the rest of us know if it was a good decision....

In all sincerity, I would also like a throaty type sound and after installing way too many systems - ears unheard - I am really reluctant to jump in .....

I have a set on order, but since ordering them had a warning from the dealership about modifying my vehicle and possible warranty issues because of some past repairs done to my vehicle. I am on the fence about installing once they do get here or selling at a loss. If I do as originally planned which is install them then I will certainly give my opinion on the sound, not sure if I will attempt videos because to me videos of exhaust tones never does them any justice.

I agree on the video -- it just muddies up the decision for me as I can't really tell much.

Well if they do not get here soon then I definitely will not put them on until September. The place I do all my work at turns into an oven in the summer months so we just never head out there to work on our vehicles. So might be awhile before I can give any opinions on the sound.
