Default CEL with P24AE

2013 diesel at 31.5k and the CEL came on tonight with Torque reporting that code, but I can't find information on it.

Anyone have any ideas what it's complaining about?

I think it is the buy back code.

Particulate matter sensor - it is a generic emissions code for diesels. Probably something downstream of AdBlue and cats is my guess, but dealer should be able to pinpoint it.

Yeap. It goes in on Monday. More about driving it this weekend as I'll have need of it. They say it is OK to keep driving it (solid CEL vs blinking), but I've also had dealers tell me to drive vehicles that clearly shouldn't be driven

CEL was still lit all day yesterday, but tonight when I ran an errand it was no longer lit and didn't come back on.

When I had my AdBlue heater CEL it behaved the same way. Come on for a few days then off for a few days then back on etc. After I had it replaced (under warranty ), no more CEL (from that one at least). If it is the particulate sensor, it may be "going" bad and will eventually fail on all startups as the tests are run. Or maybe you just had to really stomp on it and blow those particulates out of the system .

Heh. It was actually after a moderately good accel that it popped on.

Life got in the way and I canceled the appointment I had this morning. Will still get it in once life settles back down. Stayed off for the whole commute in this morning (which means it will come back this evening ).
