Default Found a loose part! Its the a/c directional clip!

No I don't have a screw loose

Hopefully someone can identify this plastic part for me. I found this on the drivers floor mat when I got in. I don't see any visible spots where it might have fallen from under the dash or seat. It has marking ' D1.D2 >POM< ' at the base of the two fingers, near the hinge.

I have a 2012 CTT. Thanks!

Jk. I gave no idear. That was a joke the saab mechanics played on me my first day in the parts department at saab in avon ct. Hey dave, please look up the muffler bearing for a xx saab 900. After an hour on the microfiche, they let me in on the joke. Hardy-har. Good luck!

Hey Everyone,
I made it to the dealer. The techs out in the garage knew immediately.... it is the part that moves the a/c-heat vent vertical slats to direct airflow left or right. It is a friction fit into the back of the vent 'tab' you grab with your fingers. 2 of the 4 'tabs' have broken and the fiction fit then fails.

So I'm not sure what is more surprising....
- the techs knew immediately what its was.... great training or they have seen way too many of these
- you can't buy a replacement part....must by the entire vent assembly ( 958-552-703-04-G0B ) for $300

Hopefully this helps the next 'lister in need.

Thanks for the follow up.

It would be nice if you could somehow change the title to reflect that so future folks can find it in a search.
