Default 2004 Cayenne 955 OBD Wiring - Help

Hello all,

Hope someone is able to assist.

I have recently fixed the common airbag sensor problem under my passenger seat. However I have been unable to rest the dash light.

I have dropped the panel where the OBD point is to find a loose wire - green with a black stripe. I assume this is the wire that communicates to the airbag control unit or something similar as my reader picks up the other systems accept the airbag.

Can anyone tell where this where is supposed to go in the back of the OBD plug so I can turn off my airbag light. If anyone could photograph the back of their plug I will be eternally grateful!

Car is a 955 4.5 non turbo uk model.

I'm at work, but I'll try to get a pic tonight. Hopefully someone can get back to you sooner.

I'm sorry, but I got jammed up on the way home and I'm out of town on a moment's notice without my Cayenne.

No problem buddy, I'm also in a similar situation, probably won't be back with mine for a couple of days!
Your help when you can is greatly appreciated!

Huh. I posted these from my phone without looking again at the thread, and I now see that your wiring is completely different colors. Yours also come in in two harnesses, but mine is in a single harness. That's nuts.

However, there's a pretty clear picture of which pins have wires on mine. You should be able to determine which pin has fallen out by process of elimination.

Thanks for the assist,

I'm starting to think that the wiring loom the mystery green wire is from is something added in by a previous owner.

If I get the chance I'll trace it back and report back on here in case it is of use to someone else.
