Default Evap code?

Throwing a light for "Evap--large leak".

I'm assuming this is an emissions based code? Truck still runs fine...

Yeah. Did you get gas recently with the car running? I'd re-install the gas cap, clear the code, and then restart.

No on the car running while filling. I've cleared the code once. I'll check the gas cap and clear it again. Would be nice if it just needs a new gas cap....

Gas caps are 26 bucks from ECS. It's what I would start with if you have no other codes or obvious leaks. Beyond that - and I'd likely take it to the dealer. I'm not a fan of troubleshooting emissions codes related to the evap system.

Start with new gas cap. If code returns - its most likely the evap purge valve....located on the driver's side of the intake plenum. An $80/shipped part and 30min to fix. Are you getting hard starts after gassing-up?

No hard starts anytime. I've ordered a new gas cap, picking it up today.

Ok, replaced the gas cap and all was well until yesterday when the light came back on. Dammit!

The truck is harder to start right after I fill it up.

So what's my next move other than take it to the dealer?

Otherwise known as the crankcase breather valve? Part # 94810721950 ?
