Default Best 958 Cayenne Turbo mods for under 1k? Under 2k? Under 3k? Under 5k? <10k?

I searched and searched and searched, and there's not a whole lot out there for 2011+ CTT in terms of performance mods.

So what say you, anyone know what the best performance mods are for under 1k? under 2k? under 3k? 5k? 10k? And what do each of them offer in performance?

I found this thread where he's making 700+ hp but that seems to be a 957 and there is no information about where to buy or approximate prices
http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/c...hp-808-tq.html

since the Panamera Turbo uses the same 4.8 twin turbo as the Cayenne Turbo some parts from there will be listed here. They will be marked as Panamera Turbo parts and you will need to contact the manufacture before ordering to be sure if the parts fit or not

NAME: Porsche 958 Turbo / Turbo S BMC F1 Replacement Air Filters

PRICE: $170

CLAIMED IMPROVEMENT: unknown

LINK: http://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-958-...t-air-filters/

Product Details:
High performance drop-in replacements for the factory air filters; fits OEM 958 Turbo/ Turbo S air boxes for improved airflow and performance.

Proper airflow is crucial to an engine’s performance. When it comes to precisely engineered automobiles like the Porsche 981 Cayman GT4, every bit of optimization will help you get the most from your engine. That’s why we provide these BMC F1 replacement air filters. They fit perfectly in the GT4’s OEM air boxes and are built with the highest quality materials.

Starting with its outer frame, BMC uses a special soft rubber material made in a process called "full molding", which not only provides a much tighter seal around the filter, but also eliminates any potential cracking or breaking of the filter. The filter element itself is made of a washable cotton material that provides nearly 40% greater airflow than paper, enclosed in an alloy mesh screen which helps the filter keep its shape and protects against larger debris and dirt. The increased flow of air through the filter provides a steady stream of clean air to the engine, resulting in much more consistent and efficient power.

FEATURES:

Fits all Porsche 958 Cayenne Turbo/ Turbo S vehicles (2011+)
Lifetime filter is washable and re-oilable
Original equipment for the Ferrari Formula 1 Team and Ferrari GT race team, as well as Porsche Motorsports, Mercedes Benz F1 and GT race teams, and the AUDI Motorsports Team

NAME: 958 Cayenne Turbo (10-Present) IPD Plenum | Part #58276

PRICE: $795.00

CLAIMED IMPROVEMENT: additional 30+ horsepower and 32+ foot pounds of torque.... HOWEVER... someone claims to have contacted IPD about these numbers and
"IPD responded and mentioned that its more for durability as someone here mentioned (crack connectors) and not HP"
LINK: https://www.ipdplenums.com/component...ent-ipd-plenum

The latest Cayenne Turbo offer from Leipzig comes in the form of a more muscular and capable redesign. The Cayenne hit the gym and dropped 550 pounds and shed some wind resistance with a new aero package. Athletic performance is more agile and faster with almost 500 HP (493 HP) from the Turbo's 4.8 L twin turbo V8. Fortunately Porsche continued to utilize the previous intake from the 957 Cayenne Turbo allowing IPD to continue to provide customers with substantial power and torque gains that will give the new model over 525 horsepower at the wheels. The IPD Cayenne Turbo plenum has an accentuated diversion area and larger inlet openings that increase intake air speed while improving intake air turbulence. This more efficient design provides substantial power increases of an additional 30+ horsepower and 32+ foot pounds of torque. The Cayenne Turbo Plenum performance gains are throughout the entire power curve and not only provide additional power that can be felt in the "seat of your pants" but deliver this power sooner with improve boost response. The factory plastic intakes are also prone to cracking, especially with Cayenne Turbos producing higher boost levels. The IPD Plenum will not crack and will handle the highest of boost levels. The IPD Plenum utilizes all the factory hardware including the OE 76mm throttle body. The only thing more impressive than the substantial power gains provided by the IPD Cayenne Turbo plenum is how easy they install.

NAME: AGENCY POWER RACING DIVERTER VALVE PAIR PORSCHE 996TT 997.2TT CAYENNE TT PANAMERA TT [AP-996TT-155]

PRICE: $275.00

CLAIMED IMPROVEMENT: helps keep the boost pressure constant all the way to redline

LINK: http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/...fibsmm1egbr984

One of the most important upgrades for the Porsche 996TT, 997.2TT, Cayenne Turbo or Panamera Turbo is to replace the factory Bosch diverter valves. The factory valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost when the car has an upgraded ECU flash. As well, the factory Bosch valves will taper boost off with the diaphragm design even at stock boost levels. To help keep the boost pressure constant all the way to redline, upgrading the stock diverter valves to the Agency Power Racing Diverter Valve Kit will improve your cars overall performance.

These valves are CNC machined 6061 aluminum which have been precision engineered to fit with the stock or aftermarket F-Hose and intake return hoses. The internal construction of the valve uses a machined piston with proper o-rings to ensure a smooth motion that is air tight to prevent any boost leaks. The spring has been engineered to hold moderate to aggressive boost increases on the 996TT, Cayenne TT and Panamera TT vehicles. The valves feature a 90 degree removable swivel connection for easy fitting with the factory vacuum hose. If needed, the top of the valve unscrews allowing you to re-greased and service the valve. Valves are available in a polished finish and feature the Agency Power text and logo laser engraved on the top. As tested, these valves are a great upgrade for stock K16 or K24 cars and have even been used in our 700HP turbo kits. Valves are sold as a pair for the 2001-2005 Porsche 996 Turbo, 2004-2007 Cayenne Turbo, 2010+ 997.2TT and 10+ Porsche Panamera Turbo.

UNDER $2000

NAME: VR TUNED ECU FLASH TUNE PORSCHE CAYENNE TURBO 958 4.8L V8 10-13

PRICE: $2000

CLAIMED IMPROVEMENT: Tuned Power – 600HP and 550ft/lbs

LINK: http://www.vrtuned.com/shop/vr-tuned...150780421.html

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo 958 chassis is a monster SUV with its V8 twin turbocharged engine. There is no question on the performance output that can be had. Like all other Porsche Turbos, the Cayenne is no different with the power increase and driveability performance that can be had. As we have seen on other Porsche Turbo vehicles, we can gain anywhere from 80-115HP reliable with just a flash. Improving the vehicles throttle response, reducing the turbo lag, and improving the pull throughout the RPM range is all part of enhancing the vehicle with an ECU tune. The Cayenne Turbo engine is shared with the Panamera Turbo which we have had the chance to tune up. We spent countless hours testing different tuning maps to get the perfect gain in performance. Our Mustang AWD Dyno has a drivetrain loss of about 20-25% which is normal for this low reading machine. The Turbo comes with 500 crank horsepower and our stock baseline is about 380 to the wheels. Tuning the cars timing and fuel maps, along with raising the boost pressure, we were able to take the car to about 460 wheel horsepower and 410 ft/lbs of torque. The SUV gets a bump from 500HP to 600HP with a ECU Flash. Standard mode takes boost pressure up to 1.2bar where Sport and Sport Plus show a change to about 1.3bar. Depending on your exhaust system or other intake mods, you may see +/- 0.1bar of boost difference.

Crank Horsepower Ratings:
Stock Power – 500HP and 516ft/lbs
Tuned Power – 600HP and 550ft/lbs

Wheel Horsepower Ratings:
Stock Power – 378HP and 364ft/lbs
Tuned Power – 455HP and 409ft/lbs

NOTE: Upon ordering of this ECU Flash Tune, you will be required to send in your ECU. Once we receive the ECU and program it, we will ship it back to you via the method you select at checkout. The Cayenne SDI6 ECU cannot be flashed via the OBDII port. This requires the ECU to be mailed in to us to be benched flashed. Bench flashing requires the ECU to be opened. We DO NOT solder or modify your board in any way. Using a electrical contact pins, we tie into the boards programming mode to read and write the file. We do store your stock file if you ever want to revert. Because the ECU must be removed and opened, if you are concerned with warranty, you may want to speak with your dealership. Removing the ECU takes about 20 mins and we have provided instructions linked below. With the VR Tuned ECU Flash, basic bolt-on performance parts will not require a retune of your ECU. Adding parts such as an exhaust, air intake, intercoolers, plenum, will all adjust with the tune. If you add higher octane fuel, the ECU will adjust accordingly. Anytime you add higher octane, the fuel will burn slower providing your vehicle with improved performance. We never recommend using leaded gas such as C16 as this will destroy your O2 sensors and catalytic converters. Further custom tuning is available with provided dyno sheets or datalogging.

What are the benefits of VR Tuned?

#1 priority is our customer service to you!
Our tuning is used worldwide. We can provide you a tuned file no matter the octane you get or the environment you live in.
We do both EU and USA vehicles running 91oct (95ron) or 93oct (98ron).
We test and dyno tune on our own cars to make sure what you get is safe, reliable, and gives you the results you want!
If you have any questions about the Porsche Cayenne Turbo 4.8L V8 ECU Flash, please contact our friendly support team!

For reference, this ECU is a Siemens SDI6 and requires the ECU to be mailed in for bench flashing.

My first round next month on my 958T is going to be
Downpipes
Fabspeed Secondary Cat Delete
BMC Filters
IPD Intake
Custom tune from Paul at IAP racing

He is estimating a power increase around 100 hp which is a nice pick up for $3500 in mods. I will port a thread and dyno sheets when I get it done.

Skip the hassle, save money and go for the big mods all at once. Pull engine, get your turbos upgraded, install an electronic boost controller, APR diverter valves, larger injectors, get your pressure side of intake custom fabricated from metal including the Y pipe (make it larger at the same time), larger ICs, custom 3" catless exhaust, do a remap and you're set. $10k-ish later, you're looking at 700ish hp :-)

It will be the same for any gas turbo engine. All that needs to be done is to get more air and more fuel to get more bang...

Default IPD Plenum

Just an FYI, I contaced IPD in Fall 2014 regarding the IPD Plenum for my 09 CTTS. I was told they no longer make the plenum for the Cayenne. The machine that shaved the metal would apparently break a plenum 5-6 out of every 10 made and it because too costly. I am not 100% sure this applies to the plenum for the 958 (Mine is a 957), but I believe their email suggested they stopped making the plenum for the Cayenne altogether.... BUMMER I was really hoping to get some extra HP out of that upgrade too...

lol just blow it all. I just put $55k in to my Z06 in 2015 with a new long block, heads, 2k hp fuel system, blower, trans, diff, etc and really really really cannot do that to this car. I always say it and it never sticks but I would rather put that money towards a new house in 2016 lol

yes. Considering Porsche is going all turbo on all Porsches I thought that would be an appropriate username for many years to come.... at least until electrics replace everything

958.1 is factory is rated at 500 crank HP but every TT Porsche motor I have seen hit the dyno stock reflects Porsche understating the true power. I figure that with the 8 speed auto and AWD it will probably lose 20%-22% to the wheels so I figure that I should see around 390-400 whp. I would LOVE to see 485-490 whp after the mods to get the crank HP to 600 but will settle for 470-475 whp which would put it right around 575 crank hp. The only reason that I am modding is to make it feel at least close to my 566 rwhp CTSV that I plan on selling. My goal is to get a 11.9 pass in the 1/4 in a Porsche SUV
