Default Interior lighting

Yesterday when I left work, my rear dome light and the 2 small lights at the bottom of the rear lid remained on the whole way home. Midway I stopped the car and slammed all the doors and the lid but they remained on.

They went out after 10 minutes when I took the key out at home.

This morning I started the car and a large exclamation point showed at the front of the car figure in the display. (This is not to be confused with the small explanation mark in the speedometer oval which tell me brake pads need changing)

Nothing showed up on the warnings under car info on the display.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It's probably the strike plate that sits in the silver trim piece. It's the part that pulls the hatch shut. It has a sensor in it that shows when the hatch is closed. It probably failed and the car thinks it's open. You can't replace the sensor on its own, so you need to replace the assembly. 95551251102 is the PN.

Thank you. I just pushed by finger down through the hinged plate and took out a bunch of debris-maybe that was the cause.
