Default TPMS

The used OEM rims I purchased have the TPMS in them. Will I need to have them calibrated or will the system automatically sync up when I install the set of tires and rims?

I have currently Michelin Latitude Sport 3 295/35/R21, came with the vehicle.

For winter I have purchased Pirelli Scorpion Winter 295/35/21

What year is your Cayenne? And the year of the rims? If either is a 2015/16 they will not work with older years. If prior, you should be fine by just driving a few miles. They changed the TPMS in 2015.

Thanks.

Mine is 2015. I think the rims are older, will have to check, cannot remember what year.
Is there any major issue if the TPMS does not sync up apart from the symbol showing up.

Just found out the rims are off a 2008 Cayenne!!

Default TPMS

You would just get a constant error msg about the TPMS which would get annoying, and have no way of monitoring pressure.

I would get a set from the tire rack for $250. That's what I did.

4 433MHz Tire Pressure Sensor $220.00
4 Required Valve $32.00

You can email damon@tirerack.com for more info. He is a member on here (or 6speed, I dont recall which...but very helpful).
