Default After market Warranty advice? buying 2006 Turbo S with 15,000 miles

New to Rennlist (apologies in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place or if this question has been asked elsewhere in the forum).

I'm in the process of buying a mint 2006 turbo s with just under 15,000 miles. Pristine condition. Great price (though I'll know if that's true in a few years) from a private party. I'm planning to drive it for 3-4 years max until it has around 40,000- 50,000 miles.

I'm considering aftermarket warranties and am faced w the classic dilemma is if it's worth it given the low miles / condition. $5,000 - $6,300 for coverage to 48,000-60,000 miles (See quote below / fine print attached).

What's the better bet?

Any advice on the likelihood of issues I might expect (outside of oil changes, brakes, etc.) between 15,000 - 50,0000 miles?

2006 Porsche Cayenne

Quote 2:

Drive Plus coverage
$250 per visit deductible
Total cost $4,998.00
$1,000.00 down
20 monthly payments at $200.00 per month

Thanks,

Graham

1. Coolant pipes if not already replaced
2. Does it have the newer version of coils? If no then coils will need to be changed
3 . Coolant Ts should last that long, but change them out with the coolant pipes. See coolant T thread

The thing is, you will want to put in the aluminium coolant pipes BEFORE they fail. Read the coolant pipe sticky

What mtnrat said for sure. Coolant pipes are a timebomb. Once replaced you should have a reliable Cayenne. At the most a rebuild or replacement in the Air Compressor over the next few years as somethings still wear just do to age even without the mileage. I've heard Fidelity is a good one but you will probably get some more experienced Warranty answers from others here.

Do the pipes now, don't wait -- I've read that many aftermarket companies don't cover the plastic coolant pipes, because they're plastic.
