Default P1354 Valve Lift Control, Cylinder 4, Implausible Signal

I've been battling this idle issue for a week now and this was the only code that came up in Durametic. I've tried searching for what this means, but cannot find anything. Is this related to a camshaft position sensor?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm getting the same symptoms and message, except it's cylinder 3 in my case. Anyone else know the problem underlying this trouble code?

It might vaguely help if we had some clue as to the year/model/engine that this is being asked about. I realize that in panic you assume everyone knows that - but I'm fairly slow and can't recall noticing you ever mentioning it.

HINT: Ask better questions to get better answers.

Yep, my bad: 2008 Cayenne S 4.8

I have a thread on Renntech with background info (Entitled 'Assistance with diagnostic trouble codes') but saw this one so thought I'd see if there's an update here. I'll insert a link to that thread shortly.
