What's the discount on '15 cayenne S
New to the cayenne forum, but a regular on 991 forum. Currently own 991c2s and my wife loves the interior (more than the performance!),so after 2 Lexus Rx's she's interested in a cayenne. Unfortunately, she sat in a fully loaded '14 turbo while vacationing in Naples, Florida- never even took it out for a drive(showroom car) so she assumes they all come fully appointed.
So I've looked at leftover '14cayenne with premium plus packages and Bose some in the high 70's. I'm inclined to buy a '15 s with v6 tt and keep it under 80-85K, for the performance factor(increase torque and hp).
Given the refresh, I'm concerned there is little room for negotiation.
So here's the long winded question finally- if I go with a '15 s, what % off msrp would be reasonable and would it be substantially different if I go with a '14. I would be purchasing in the Ma/Ct/Nh area.
Lastly, are there any options that are an absolute necessity. Thanks.

Definitely drive both. I have heard some prefer the V8 over the V6TT. I personally haven't driven the V6TT but thought it was interesting to hear that.

I am in the NW, so my discount may not be relevant to what NE dealers are willing to do...I ordered my 2015 Cayenne S e-Hybrid at 5.5% off initially...but I kept adding options and the MSRP hit $102k so the dealer agreed to increase the discount to 6.2%. I got that price without working them too hard (never even went into the dealership as they are 3 hours away...all done on the phone and email).
As far as options... that calls for a lot of personal preference. I ordered, Full Leather, Roof Rails, Black exterior Trim, 21" Turbo wheels, PASM w/Air Suspension and Automatic Cruise Control among some others that came as part of the higher end packages like Premium Plus + Infortainment (LED headlights, Enter and Drive, Lane Change assit, Heat/cooled seats, Bose, Pano Roof etc) and Sport Chrono.

On November 5 I bought a 2015 Cayenne S. Sticker was $84,175 and the dealer only knocked $1,000 off that. I thought I'd miss the sound of the V8 and I do, but the new motor is awesome and I love it.

For Chicago I would want the heated seats, Bose, LCA assist, Infotainment, Comfort LED Light pkg, heated steering wheel, standard 19" with All Season tires, and don't forget the tow hitch, even if you don't have yet plans to use it. If you have serious plans to tow, get the Air Suspension. The Premium + pkg is nice but I personally don't like the pano roof. I'd want White exterior with White wheels and Agate leather interior, but that's just me.
