IPod connection problems on '14
Hi,
I have been experiencing iPod connection problems on my 2014 Cayenne Turbo. Had the car for about 6 months now and I love it as my daily driver. However, ever since I got the car, I have been experiencing intermittent iPod connection problem.
It always happens when I first start the car (regardless of whether the car is warm or cold), PCM would have problem loading the iPod and after about 20s, it would default back to radio. In order for me to get iPod back on again, I would need to unplug the iPod and plug it back in. After I do that, PCM detects it in 5s! It's not a big problem, but it very annoying to unplug and replug my iPod 50% of the time that I'm in the car.
Anybody else experienced this in their Cayenne?

Yeah my 13 used to do that with the iPhone 3g i was using as an iPod. Sounds like yours is more frequent than mine was, but definitely the same type of hiccup.
I tried my 4s after the 3g was stolen and the PCM really didn't like it (wouldn't go to the previous track, wrong track info, lots of freezes, etc..). Now I just use a USB stick and that has been working flawlessly.

3 or 4 yrs. or so ago I posted about my '06 S that was having problems with the mObridge (that vehicle didn't have USB connection stock). Turned out it was the (then) new iPod I was using at the time, switched to an older iPod and mObridge started working like it should.
