Default Expedition Cayenne

I finally received my RTT and awning and thought I'd take it out on a shakedown trip. It was nice to be able to cruise at 110MPH and take that turn off the road. Some mods to my Cayenne. Behind the front seats is an Engle 17qt fridge and Yeti soft cooler, front runner water bladder. In the rear cargo area is a Dometic 25 fridge, Ark Pak , Lift Trax , 5lb C02 tank , two Alu boxes with recovery gear and kitchen gear.

One thing you could do to increase departure angle is fab up a hitch that angles or curves up from the receiver. I would do this on low cars so my bicycle wheels had more clearance.

I JUST SOLD MY 97 FZJ80 . 180K ON THE CLOCK, IF I HAD A BIGGER GARAGE OR A SMALLER BOAT I WOULD HAVE KEPT IT. IT WOULD HAVE GONE 300K EASY!

Nice cruisers. I have an 80 series with 6"lift, supercharged, 4.88 gears, 35" tires, armoured, etc etc. Tht 1985 60 series is beautiful! Here is my 80.

I had a 76 FJ40. It cured me of 4WD and Toyota. Nice off road, terrible in road and never ran right. I did sell it for more than I paid for it after 4 years, which is more than I can say for Porsche and BMW.

I love the offroad Cayenne rig. Are you sleeping on top of the vehicle? It looks that way from the pics. Have you tried a Hennessy Hammock? They are also off the ground and take up less space.

This Cayenne is awesome. I saw it over on expedition portal, and am thinking of getting into for similar reasons. Great highway manners to the trail and then more than enough for all the forest service roads into the woods. They seem like they last well into the high miles too.

While I love the Cayenne being taken offroad here... there are more Toyota pictures in this thread than Porsche pictures... an that's just wrong!!!

Nice trucks. I finally broke down and put a V-8 in my FJ60. I can travel at 75mph and get 11 mpg. With the 2F I would barely keep 50mph and get 6-7 mpg.
