8 year old throws tantrum, Cayenne won't turn off
My 2006 started misbehaving today.
Initial symptoms
AC blowing full blast and not turning off even when turned to off.
Got out and came back and car was running AC fan full blast still..
I put the key in and the car had no reaction and then the car locked down on my key.
It seems to be dead now after I pulled all the fuses trying to reset the computer.
My only recourse today while stranded is to pull up the seat... Leave it disconnected for 30 minutes, then try to jump the vehicle.

Thank you for the input above, that is huge in just understanding but I went ahead and had it hot started and put on the trailer to a local independent P shop in Austin.
I am probably going to have all the back hatch and front hatch shocks replaced etc and see what other things he would not mind me doing in the interim at his shop.
If he identifies and resolves the resistor as the only issue then great..........but also my AC control module was already starting and stopping alot........

Guess too late to help, but was it the blower motor, or the AC? (Did the compressor turn off if you pushed the ECON button?)
Blower motor switch-out is a breeze, and takes about 15 minutes, even if you decide to take a shower half-way through because it's a hot day. I think it's a little over $100 ($120?) and easy access from the passenger floor. I doubt this was your problem, as the blower motor failure sounds like an airplane propeller caught in some trees.

I installed a new blower motor last fall.
This was like the blower was stuck on hurricane and when switched to off.
And even when key and car were off it kept blowing.

Here is the diagnosis. The replacement blower fan some how blew it's resistor, which resulted in the control module to lock on......and it then melted pieces of the wiring harness. My local p mechanic found a donor piece to replace all the fried connectors. 1100$$ later I am whole.
I thought my AC-control module was shot too but it appears that this issue was based upon the fan blowers crappy resistor.
All is supposedly working, with mileage and age I have set my budget to 3k on keeping her running, until I move it on up to my parents farm to become the family duck hunting wagon.
I have been driving an FJ cruiser during the down time...........fun car not too sexy.
