Changing center grill?
#2
I have an '04 CTT and the center grill has some aggressive double sided tape that holds it on. The tape is located on the top and bottom of the grill. I used trim removal tools to act as a spatula in order to separate the tape and remove the grill without scratching the paint. This can be done with the bumper on. It's even easier if the piece you're removing is already broken. Replace the part using automotive double sided tape (3M is best).

From reading the instructions - looks as if the bumper is gonna have to come off to grind off the plastic weld that holds it in (I assume to prevent theft..) They don't reweld it on installation, so if it's been replaced once already - and you can get at all the clips from outside (doubtful) - you might be able to do it without bumper removal, but..
My WAG - the bumper has to come off.
Note - the turbo one is entirely different and held in with tape.

After reading that, it makes me wonder if one can cut out the center of the old grill with an air saw. Then insert a small die grinder to cut off the 4 "welded" plastic tabs. Release the grill by reaching in to all the clips, and rotate the remaining piece out. Then rotate and insert the new grill and pull it toward you to lock it in position. Seems do-able without taking the bumper cover off, as long as the old grill is going in the garbage anyway...just wondering.
