Did it, love it. Strait pipe one side flex on the the other. Both clamps snapped and the tip pipes are cracking.
Thanks for all the pis and tips.

I am in the process of a big tune up in my 2004 cayenne 3.2 ,this mod is in my "to do" list
Does anyone can confirm me if the v6 3.2 muffler is similar to the 4.5 S? I am wondering if I have to buy the same diameter flex pipes?

Hi there,
I did it so I answer my question, hope it will help as nobody explain how to do it in a 3.2.
V6 muffler is different to the S and turbo, only one pipe go to the muffler (2 for the V8).
When I removed my tips I have the small vaccum pipe in each side. In the passenger side you can fit a 2'' flex pipe with 80cm long (32''), in the driver side you can fit a 2'' flex with 35cm long (14'').
I also hammered a restriction plate in the driver side to have more free flow (the 35cm flex tube is blocked by this plate).
It was very loud for my taste as it bypass all the chamber, the right choice for me was to cut the passenger flex pipe to 60cm (24'') It left one chamber to reduce noise.
I tried 1 7/8, 2'', 2 1/4, the last was too big, but 2'' fit well. For a permanent job, I drilled the muffler (just near the tips) and screwed the flex pipe, It can't move, no rattles.
Conclusion : it cost me 50$ CAD for the flex pypes and a pair of new clamp for the tips.
This is the best exhaust mod that can be personalised to each by cutting the lengh of the flex pipe.
Sorry for my bad english..

Hi there,
The inside of the muffler in the passenger side is straight like the pictures you can see in the first post so a steel pipe should fit but you will have to remove the rear bumper or to lower the muffler, that is why I used flex pipe.
Also I did a long test drive and it's still too loud, I will reduce my flex pipe again and will keep you informed with the good lenght to use, 50 cm (20') should be fine.

Hi,
I put the 20, flex pipe flush to the tips then I drilled the end of the muffler (where the tips go) and screwed the flex pipe to the muffler.
It is currently in my garage for some preventive maintenance, I allready put the 20' pipe, at idle and when I rev it is way more quiet, I plan to drive it this weekend, I will keep you informed.

Hows It Going?
Hi 02 Carrerra, How did your test drive go?. Did you find that the 20" flexi is good and did you enjoy hearing your new V6 growling exhaust. Hope it went ok, can't wait to get mine done, my flexi should be here tomorrow so hopefully will get it done in the next couple of days.

Hi, so with the 20'' it is way more quiet.
When you drive gently, inside the cabine it is almost not noticiable, like it is stock, when you rev it it make some good but quiet noise around 3000 rpm.
For me it is the sound that Porsche should made, not noisy but enjoyable. If you like a noisy exhaust you will be disapointed, go to 24'' and more and you will have this kind of noise (drived 1 day like this..)
Start at 3.45min :
Please give your review when your mod is done.
Do not hesitate if you have questions.
PS : change your tips clamps at the same time.
