New to the forum, ?- 47K miles on my 2011 Cayenne and found out today the head gasket is leaking. Dealer is ordering parts, ?- is this unusual and what should I be asking before the repair? Appreciate your feedback on this one.

Ask for the repair but I have had a slow leak in my 06 base since 2010.........no worsening and I am about to do a 160k overhaul to cover this gasket, transmission filter, and valve body rebuild with new plugs and pencil coils too.....

Then on to 250k miles .

i presume its still under warranty?
"while youre at it" i'd clean the air intake out, and also clean out any carbon build up on the heads.
