Default Klunky noise from front wheel

I had a klunking noise coming from right front when driving on bumpy roads. I thought it should be the lower control arm. I had i replaced some time ago. Nothing changed. Still the same. In which way i could find out what part is causing this? Any possibility to get the parts tested on the front suspension?
Thank you for your input.

Sway bar link? Upper control arm? Tie rod end?

Thank you for your response. Any possibility to test this parts?! Would not like to change all this without knowing what caused the noise.

Unbolt the sway bar linkages and suspend the bar out of the way, then go for a test drive to rule out the sway bar.

Last stupid question. I need to disconnect the sway bar and the links or its just enough to take away the end links? Thank you

I would love help with this also. I have replaced the lower arms, upper arms, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, and tie rods on my 05 CTT. I still have a bad clunk on bumpy roads. The only items left are steering rack, top of the air shocks (bushings?), or axles.

Any help would be appreciated.

disconnect either the bar to link connection or the link to control arm, whichever is easiest to access. make sure everything is secured from hitting and go for a test drive and see if noise persists.

when i bought my cayenne i noticed clunk as well. previous owner replaced lower control arms. i noticed tie rods were bad and I replaced upper control arms which was the problem. while parked when you turn the steering wheel does it make clunck too? get a helper and have them turn the wheel back and forth while you look and listen for sounds.

Only one poster pointed out the upper strut bushing. These are invisible on the air shock cars (and possibly the normal shock cars), so I don't think you can verify without dismantling the suspension/shock.

They are made from rubber and crack, with clunking as a result.

I replaced all front suspension stuff in two steps.
First lower arm bushings only. That didn't cure it, so I went all in.

Lower arms, upper arms, tie rods, upper bushings, sway bar bushings and drop links.

You may end up saving a little by going step by step, butI could not justify the time.

Thank you! I am affraid you are right. The parts i have bought already but its a hard job to change the upper control arms.
I just remember hornbecks post when he reported that he changed the upper arms which didnt improve the situation.

Thomas

The upper control arms are not as bad as they look, they took me about 5 hours. I am thinking that the upper strut mount is my issue. As this requires you to remove the same items as doing the upper control arms, I would think about doing these at the same time.

Looking at the parts: (05 CTT)
(8) N 101 277 06 Top Air Spring Bolts (one time use bolts should be replaced)
(2) N 909 664 01 Top Strut Nuts (Not sure if needed)
(2) 955 343 018 10 Upper Supporting Mount
(2) 955 343 301 10 Bumpstops (Not sure if you need these)
(2) N 910 956 01 Upper Seal Rings
(2) N904 324 02 Lower Seal Rings (Only if doing bumpstop I think)
(1) 000 043 204 68 Grease for Seal Rings
around $160.00 US in parts if all OEM
