Default Vibration!!! Please help!!!

Hello all,

I have an '04 base model Cayenne, that has started to vibrate....

It's my wife's vehicle so she was driving it when the malfunction started, but I have driven it with the same results.

It's fine until apprx 25mph then the vibrating starts. It feels like a thumping in the center, but is definitely under the car. Most importantly when I am at speed (45-60mph) the vibration stops completely when I let off of the accelerator. It resumes commensurate with my use of the throttle (ie if I accelerate aggressively then the vibration is more pronounced, if I use just enough gas to maintain speed the vibration is present, but greatly reduced).

Was thinking it may be tranny or motor mount? But don't know if that would cause a vibration like that....

Any help or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Karl

Awesome....thanks, knew someone on here would point me in the right direction.

Guessing that's a pretty expensive fix? I'll search it on here...

Cardan shaft replacement is relatively inexpensive in the Porsche world, and it is a relatively easy DIY if you are so inclined...
