The X5 was a good choice, especially compared to the hideously ugly X6 (aka the BMW Aztec). I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I actually like the styling of the newer X5.

Some of us prefer a clutch pedal and no I drive with are 5K pound SUV's.....

I do really admire the X5; however, but for me it really comes down to that every salesman at our local BMW dealer is unabashed liar and/or demonstrates a wealth of ignorance (e.g., "Cayenne weighs 1K more than the X5, and the X5 has much better brakes." etc.). My local Porsche dealer treats me like a close friend, despite me originally showing-up in a Subaru wearing flip-flops.

X6 is wicked quick and fun to drive, just not great looking. Hmmm...sounds like another German SUV!

did some readup on the X5M and agree that it sounds aweful. If it comes with the third row seats then I may be tempted.

no worry about it beating my CTT though, it is just my family car. I can beat any X5M with my club coupe without even trying hard.

The X5M is listed at 4.5 sec 0-60.
The Club Coupe is listed at 4.4 sec 0-60.

I'm afraid you are actually going to have to 'try hard' if you want to race an X5M with a Club Coupe....

Now, if you want to be able to say 'without even trying hard', I think you should be driving a 99x Turbo....those are well under 4 sec.

I will race you for pink slips... just as long as I get to pick the course.

Hint: Course altitude will START at 8000 feet and go up from there.
