Default Best adhesive to use for Porsche Crest

I am thinking about removing the Cayenne S badge from the rear deck and replacing it with my newly bought Porsche Crest. What is the best adhesive to use for badge onto rubber gasket and rubber gasket onto vehicle?

Also, what is the best way to ensure proper placement?

Why would you do that? It would be easier, cheaper, and look more OEM if you went with a nice plate frame that has the crest or says Porsche, etc.

I saw one on a Cayenne where somebody added a crest to the rear gate like you are wanting and it really looked out of place.

Now, with that said, the best way to mount it would be to actually make sure the curvature of the crest matches the rear decklid and mount it like the hood with the securing nuts and bolts.

Not sure I would mess around with adhesive on the rear gate and risk it not turning out right and not being able to go back to the normal way without potential serious scarring.

drill holes and put the nuts on it, the trim right below the window about 4-5 inchs tall is just plastic and if you ever wanted to replace it wouldnt be too too expensive

You have to post pics and give details once you complete your project.
"Out of place" sometimes can be a very good thing, conformity in the world = BORING.

I added it to my wife's. The curvature seems fine. I used silicone adhesive. Easy to remove if we ever want to. 2 years with no problems.

Thanks for the input. As far as scarring, I removed the posts because in case I did not like it, I wanted to be able to remove and not deal with the holes.

I have not decided to do it for sure, I am usually a "pretty stock" guy when it comes to P-cars, but I pulled up behind a black one with the crest and I thought it looked good and not tacky.

And yes, I get bored easily.....

What type of silicone did you use tooruf?

Looks good - clean and understated.
Which P-crest did you use?
