Default Cayenne S discount in the Bay Area

Hey guys,
I'm helping a buddy of mine (he's a 1st time Porsche buyer) to buy a Cayenne S. What kind of discount are dealers giving on MY04s right now? If anyone here has recently bought a '04 Cayenne, can you share the deal you got ...ie. how much off MSRP or how much above/below invoice, etc.? Bay Area info (dealer, salesperson name, etc.) would be especially appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Go see Doug Rubi or Gary Ho at Carlsen Porsche. you should be able to get quite a bit off MSRP.

My guess is that you should be able to get an 04 Cayenne S for a little over dealer invoice (maybe $500), which probably equates to about $7,000 +- off sticker, depending on options. I believe PCNA has substantially delayed release of the 05's while dealers clean their lots of 04's because there were too many out there. There are tons of 05's that have been sitting at the harbor or PCNA PDI facilities for weeks now. Therefore, now should be a great time to buy an 04.

Note that in early or mid-August, all the dealers showed their incoming 05 Cayenne inventory on the Porsche / dealer websites, but then suddenly they were pulled off the sites. I also know that my dealer expected 05 Cayenne deliveries the first week of September and I know specifically that a lot of their incoming cars were at the harbor or PDI, yet a month later they have received none.

Last I heard, Michaels in Fresno was 1,000 over invoice - Brian Freer - (I bought mine there). Only problem was trying to stay under 75mph on the way home.

8-10% off MSRP is good...
...just get later, rather than earlier car production date/vin...

Try Steven's creek Porsche about $6000 off the S, 5K on the v6 and 10 K on the turbo.
Or see Jonathan Cody at Burlingame Rector Porsche, and asked him to beat it .
Tell him I sent you of course...good luck

Thanks for the responses. We have a good idea on what to expect now. Anyone else with feedback on a recently negotiated deal, please chime in.

Go see Perry Egyes @ Porsche of Oakland (510-502-0172). My wife just picked up her '05 Cayenne S from him today! They have more than a few '04's on the lot and he's willing to deal. Just tell him Andre referred you.

Check my inventory if you don't mind shipping a car. I have all of my 04's listed on my rennlist website at $500 over invoice.
