Small garage compressor?
What does everyone use?
I prefer oil-lubed and bigger than the round/potbelly kind. I don't need to run a nail gun but maybe some low demand tools...
Thanks in advance!

A "small" garage compressor is just that ... you will be limited with the tooling you'll want to use and eventually you'll want a larger unit ...
Best move,if you have the space is to get a nice 5 HP 60 gallon upright and be done with it !
Just sayin ...
Cheers

Aldi/hofer has one that is quite good for its price. It is also vertical so it has small footprint.

If I could make a recommendation here when buying a piston style compressor there are a few things you want look for. First slowRpm's, you will find that on the electric motor 1750 Rpm's is a good number. If it has 2475 Rpm's stay away from it. Second they offer a few different styles on the pump. Splash lubricated, and oil pressurized if you can, I would recommend a Champion piston R30 with aircraft dome pistons and slow Rpm's, two stages with intercooler and low oil switch. the intake and discharge valve are easy to replace and come in a kit. My top pick if you take the time to find one would be a Quincy model # 325. These use an oil pump, positive pressure to the rod bearing and cylinder walls, slow Rpm's, two stages with an intercooler and a hydraulic unloaded to save the pump should oil pressure drop to low. Hope this helps
