I have a 2001 996 car that I only use for track and am about to delete the a/c system for weight saving. Do they sell a shorter serpentine belt after the compressor is eliminated??

Yes, shorter belts are available. I use the Gates brand belts.

It's in PET for the Euro cars with AC delete and can be looked up and ordered from any Porsche dealer as well. If you decide to use a underdrive pulley also you will need an even slightly shorter serp belt. Size then varies depending on choice of pulley.

I'm going to delete the AC on my 3.6 996. I also have an underdrive pulley.

Any chance anyone has the proper belt size?
