Default Suggestions for replacement rotors

The rotors on my '97 C4S (has the "big red brakes") is basically shot and I need to get it replaced. What are my alternatives or the factory brembo setup are good enough (bang for the buck)?

Brembo OEM 322x32mm rotors (front)
Brembo OEM 322x28mm rotors (rear)

Are these the correct sizes? Anyone have the Brembo part numbers? I know a Brembo distributor; figure its more economical it buy it through that channel then as a Porsche part unless I'm wrong?

I ended up buying Porsche OEM, not aftermarket replacements like zimmerman . Apparently no one makes aftermarket ones better than the factory original. The players in the space like AP, brembo, stoptech dont cater to oem replacement, just their own BBK.

Mine is for track use, I have the big reds. Nice slotted floating rotors. Where you the one with custom rotors? How many vanes does that have?

I think the OEM (Big Red) rotors are the best bang for the buck, but if you're thinking about shedding a bit more unsprung weight, have you considered GiroDisc rotors?

If you want top quality for the track, look into Alcons or AP's.

Pricey, but very good product.

I cracked a pair of the OEM front 993 turbo rotors in 4 track days. Good rotors, but not for heavy track use.

Can anyone comment on quality v cost re the Brembo v giro running say rs29s? I guess the comparison rests on weight, life, stopping ability. Tia Matt.

Roland is spot-on.

Factory OEM rotors are just fine for street use, however they do not fare as well for track days, especially with DOT-spec race tires. AP's and/or Alcons are real racing rotors made with a much higher grade of cast iron than OEM-type ones are.

I have these in a slotted 322x32mm as well as a 332x32 version with additional thermal dissipation capacity. Not cheap, but you really do get what you pay for.

Hope this helps,
