This used tail base for a 996 came with my car when I purchased it last year. I was planning to use it as a base for a SP996 wing but decided to go with a new FRP base. It appears to be a CF part (see pix), although I can't tell who manufactured it. It has been drilled for hood pins and needs inserts for the wing supports. Base is solid and weighs a few pounds less than the FRP part. Located in Maine but can transport to LRP, WGI or Mosport CR events for purchaser. Buyer pays shipping. These are over $1,000 new so this seems a fair price given the condition.
