Here is a set of very rare Magnesium Cup 1 RS wheels for sale in original unrestored condition.


Fronts: 7.5J x 17 ET55
Left front (965.362.124.15)
Right front (965.362.124.15)


Rears: 9J x 17 ET55
Left Rear: (965.362.128.10)
Right Rear: (965.362.128.10)

They drive straight and true as I have had them on my 964 for the last 2 years. Please see all the photos in the following links, and note the small chips and scratches etc. They are in original, un-refurbished condition.

Asking out of curiosity. Is it Magnox alloy? Or does it have a coating or made of another alloy to prevent it from corroding.

Color me interested, with a few questions...

Do you happen to have the weight specifications for both front and rear wheels? If so, could you please post?

In the second photo, are those chips to the protective paint coating? If so, are there other chips; (unprotected areas to the effects of potential corossion?)

I would be concerned about stress fractures from use on a surface other than a race track (street use).

For the $8k asking price, do the wheels come with a Dye Penetrant NDT certification as being checked for being free from cracks and/or cracking; along with a balance sheet for each wheel stating runout and balance?

Hi thanks for the questions, Here is a link to the weights of the wheels. They are noticeably lighter than the standard Cup 1s http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php This set came to within about 200g either side of these figures when weighed.

I will get back to you about the extra NDT cert question.

In terms of chips and the potential for corrosion these wheels are presented in this original form and are not yet restored. They will on a wheel balancer shortly and will post the results to you.
