Yea this is the big problem, I don't see many people buying this car and as such very limited used options especially in the turbo, turbo s range or (god help us) the turbo s hybrid. I think waiting for a used sport turismo is going to be difficult. Now the real question is are they going to offer the Liquid Metal Blue paint off the concept car! $65,000 sounds about right for a good paint job. Also how about a club sport edition roll cage and all ;-)

CAlexio, from one wagon lover to another and in light of your daily, check out this render. Pretty cool.

MB, now Porsche...would love to see BMW hop into the fray.

With respect to your Bay Area observation, MB wagon buyers are the most affluent of all MB customers by household income. This surprised me, but certainly jibes with Bay Area incomes. (Granted, I totally destroy that demographic, but, hey, someone has to be the anchor.) It is the primary reason I believe Porsche wagon buyers will not be price sensitive.

I can't find the configurator? Sounds pricey, but I'm interested.

This gran turismo is totally my bag.. hope lots of my neighbors here in San Francisco buy one and then get tired of it... I'll be right there waiting
You'd see more if BMW and Audi imported their good wagons.

For sure, but it's interesting when I look for anything on eBay:AutoTrader around the USA to replace my ageing beast, all the fun wagons seem to be within 100 miles of me.

Thanks for that render.. we can keep wishing and hoping, but I must say, with this new fran turismo I really have no more complaints. I want this over the e63 or any BMW m5 wagon unicorn. That gran turismo is the ****, absolutely desirable and beautiful with no qualms. Bravo Porsche

Thought it was much better looking than the sedan when they had that styling exercise a few years ago. This thing is fantastic, but I've always liked shooting brakes, and still think it's a mistake Audi doesn't bring the avants here anymore (I don't count the allroad).
We had an A4 avant sport a few generations back and it was one of my favourites!!

I've ordered a Turbo S, although I had hoped the middle seat and storage would be better. Youngest kid is 8 so should be fine for a year or two but will check. If it's a real compromise on space and luggage I could change my mind.

Not a big fan of the depreciation curve, but have been lucky enough with GT cars etc in last few years so just have to accept they don't all hold value.

I do have an RS6 at the moment which is a great car, but % deprecation is probably just as bad. It will be traded for this.

There will be a Turbo Hybrid version available before the year's out, but even more expensive and 300kg heavier if sedan is a guide.
Spec looking like this at the moment but lots of time to change!

Very nice! I think that Agate Grey suits the Sport Turismo.

Thanks. Still might paint them black afterwards. The "mandatory" Porsche calliper colors **** me off, and it's the one thing you can't get changed.
If you don't want to paint them yourself, it limits color choice of car IMO,

Definitely. If keeping the red or yellow calipers, many of the exterior paint colour choices clash horribly :-(

interesting that Porsche offers two body styles in this new car.
I really need to see both in the flesh. But i like what i see thus far.

The Sport Turismo appears to look like it has the *** of the Macan.
It is almost like they took a Macan, lowered it and then stretched it out.

The design is a much needed improvement over the older Panny.

My wife has the Macan but misses being on the ground in a car for the tight twisties...
Perhaps the Sport Turismo might be something for her to consider....

Curious as to which configurator you're using. The US one doesn't show those wheels!
thanks.

They are on many of the European configurators now (UK, French, Italian...), but weirdly not on the German one. I think they where added last night, so they will probably appear on all the configurators soon.
