First Panny - buy 2013 S or lease 2016 Edition?
Very close to acquiring my first Panamera, and am torn between two options, one a purchase, the other a lease:
1. Buy very nice condition 2013 S, $60K, 20K miles, CPO until 8/18, silver & loaded (original MSRP over $120K).
2. "Sign and drive" lease of a 2016 Edition ($900/month) or 4 Edition ($930/month), with NO $ down, 36 mo, 10k miles/year (no problem for me).
The last NA V8 S is appealing, but dropping $60K and having CPO expire in 2 years is less appealing.
The lease deal is a less exciting vehicle, but new car with full warranty. Can decide what to do with it in 3 years, after these updated Pannies are more "mature".
Both nice options - leaning toward the lease - which one would you pick?

No tax issues involved. But unfortunately the 2013 just sold an hour ago, so that one is gone. But the question remains, as there's bound to be another buy opportunity (there's actually a marine blue 2013 S for sale at another dealer).
This lease close-out deal on the 2016 2's and 4's feels like a pretty good deal.

I would keep on looking: the 2013S seemed to be fair in price, but it is gone.
The 2016 seem to be the 300hp versions and you will miss the oomph on those; I would highly recommend to get 400hp with a Panamera.
Most dealers will have some great deals on 2016 models soon, the longer you wait, the cheaper those get (especially once the 2017 sits next to it on the lot, they will look a lot less desirable

How about buying a 14 S with no miles for a hair more money? I know of one that they are blowing out, CPO never titled like 800 miles on it. That's what I would do

The 13 S I'm looking at has CPO warranty for another 3 years (8/19). If bought at $60K, any guess as to what it is worth as a trade-in 3 years from now? $40K? $35K?

That's a pretty sweet and rare deal. I would prefer the V8 in the 13 S versus the V6 turbo in the 14 S, but if the deal is that good...sure!

in a similar boat here, but I'm not buying/leasing a 2016. I am looking at a '14 SEH, and I think if you can you just hold out between now and March next year, the 2013-4 cars price will drop through the floor.
Current support levels for '14 (MSRP $115k Panny) are around $57k minimum, but averaging $60k for non-CPO. I anticipate by March, you can easily have these '14s for around $55k. If you don't need a car now, I would hold out until holidays.
