Default Widest tires possible???

I have a 2011 Panamera Turbo and want to downsize from 22" wheels back to 20" wheels. I am thinking either 20x11 or 20x12 in the rear and 20x9.5 or 20x10 in the front. I am running 325/25/22 and 265/30/22 currently.

How wide of a tire/wheel setup can I run in the rear? The stock wheel/tire size is 20x11 and 295/35/20 which nets a 28.1" diameter. In my research I found that I can maintain about the same diameter if I go with a 335/30/20 if I run Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Is anybody running a 20x12 wheel and a 335 width tire? If not what is the widest tire I can fit on the rears while maintaining a similar to stock tire diameter?

Thanks for the input!

Do not forget that you have AWD car, so, it is extremely important for the life of your central dif, that the circumference of your tires (front and rear) does remain the same.

On the 20", in our Cayenne, I used to have a staggered setup (very good when towing), and I had 275x40 front and 315x35 rear, these on 9" wide front wheels and 10" wide wheels. The circumference was identical, and I did run multiple set of such tires, keeping the car up to over 110k miles, without any central dif problem.

By the way, I planning to run the same on our current Cayenne Turbo, ..trying to use rims out of the Panamera (RS Spyder type), as the ones of the Cayenne are NOT staggered (4x 9"), like the ones (a little bit different look too) of the Panamera ! (I have also a Panamera 4S.)

That's a good point that AWD cars need the same diameter all the way around, or close to stock which are 0.1" diameter of each other. If I do 255/40/20 up front and 335/30/20 in the rear the diameters are equal at 28"... I just don't know if that wide of tire will fit in the rear... If it doesn't then I will have to run at most 305/30/20 (27.2" dia.) and 265/35/20 (27.3" dia) OR just run the stock setup size... Anyone running a 335 in the rear?
