$ being equal, this or the TDF? In my experience, it's worth getting the older but "special" version of a ferrari, than the newer more refined one. For example, the 458 was much less engaging to drive than a 430 Scuderia.
in the v12 realm, I do wonder if the more refined transmission and rear wheel steering of the 812, take away some of the hairiness of the TDF (I've never driven either of the v12 cars, just going from what i read). Aesthetically, I think this 812 is really attractive, but the TDF when seen up front looks like a Lemans GT3 racer without the stickers.. really badass and wide/bulging.
I'll close by thinking that an F12 is now looking very attractive at the current used market prices I'm seeing.. it's already such an incredible machine, that you can tell they didn't move the goalposts significantly with this 812.. they were already very close to the bleeding edge of what an NA V12 could do with the F12.

I watched a few videos on the car on Youtube yesterday and today. It benefits from all the lessons learned in the TDF, and has "daily driver" capability as well as massive performance... and best of all, they fixed the rear so it doesn't look like a uterus and ovaries! I'm going to check my Lotto tickets again... This has just become my favorite car.
