OT: this week I got a chance to drive the 2015 Roush stage 3 mustang (coupe/6MT) for 90 miles. What a great car! Incredible sound, feel, etc. I am so impressed. I have "fancy" pcars but this Roush really is a thrilling car. Obviously I'm impressed guys!

I just received an invitation from Ford to drive the GT350 (non-R version) at Sebring Raceway. Unfortunately it is a Monday and Tuesday which means taking off work which means big $ lost. I'm considering it anyhow as this one of the few non Porsche sports cars I'd love to own. Not sure if attending the driving event would give me an inside track to an allocation? I imagine this car will be as hard to acquire as the GT4 no?

any more
any more input from you on the stage 3? curious myself.... next year 2016 you can likely get a 2015 with low miles for short money I bet for 55k range. That's a TON of car for that price.... 670hp, warranty etc!

I have two older mustangs and too many other pcars so I did not buy the Roush. However, I am still debating and was very impressed with this car. I went through the Livonia Roush facility and have been to Ford before and like both companies and their people. I was provided the stage 3 vehicle to drive around Detroit. It was a huge amount of fun, and honestly more fun than any pcar I own. You cannot argue with a supercharged V8. I think that you are right about the prices.

I had a Roush SC mustang. Loads of fun on and off track.
Depreciation curve is steep. I'd stick w Ford Shelby product
in the future. In many respects Roush has pioneered where
the SVT cars are now, but tough to compete w OEM.
Either way - solid platform - but you always feel the weight.

From the article^
"So I open the throttle, following Webster in his beloved Ferrari up a series of sharp hillside hairpins that seem designed to test second-gear acceleration and broken-asphalt traction at the same time, and the moment the tach hits about five grand, I hear The Sound.
I firmly believe that when human civilization finally collapses and our descendants are nothing but hipster-bearded cavemen on a quest for fire, stories of The Sound will still be told every night, to frighten children and preserve all that is worth preserving of Western civilization."

I'm on the local dealer's list. They're guessing late 2016, early 2017 for my car. I bought a 2016 GT (Recaros, performance pkg, not much else) as a "placekeeper" and to bump me up the list as an existing customer. I also got on the list for the Focus RS (would replace my VW GTI). RS and GT350 would be a GREAT combo...

You're on the list for an "R" or a GT350? I spoke to local dealer about a '15 base or R - one allocation sold at 10 or 15 over, and no R allocation. There should be plenty of '16s available.

excellent performance value
in absolute terms 525 hp/425 TQ driving 3600 lbs - it is good but not great
corvette z06 650/650 driving 3550lb, but 50% more $$
but for MSRP of $60K it is a steal ... and naturally aspirated...Ford will sell many many many
i like that american performance car thinking is embracing weight reduction along with just adding HP
