Default Newbie '83 SC Targa

Just purchased a quartz gray metallic Targa. Have owned a 356 for many years...still do. Looking for an independent Porsche mechanic near Mystic, CT.
Car runs perfect now but I'd like to seek one out before I need one. We look forward to meeting many of you in the future.

Hello,
I am new to Rennlist and I had a 911 SC pricing question... Since I am in New England I am posting here. A thousand pardons if I am in the wrong place or going askew...

I am considering the purchase of a 1983 911 SC Coupe. It has 211K miles on it and there is not a body panel without a dent or blemish. Plus the paint is pretty faded. The car is complete and there was a engine rebuild completed 2K miles ago. This is a running and driving car that needs some care to beautify it.

Does anyone have suggestions for me on what to pay for a car like this? I don't have pix yet and I know no one here has seen the example. But thoughts on value are none the less appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi 82680. I did not see any response to your question about Porsche service near Mystic, CT. My only suggestion is Speed Sport Tuning of Danbury. I know that's 1.5 hours from you but their shop appears to be legit. Did you get any other recommendations?

By the way, we love it in Mystic. We took the kids there last winter for the aquarium. Tons of fun! And your car looks great...

Sweet looking SC.

You might want to reach out to F40 Motorsports. http://www.f40.com/ in Portland CT. Its the home of Wayne Carini from Chasing Classic Cars TV show.

They always have a lot of Porsche's out front....am I am pretty sure they service them there as well as sell vehicles out of there.

It would be about 45 minutes from Mystic.
