I am looking for a recommended dealer for service (updating navigation and maybe firmwares) in Massachusetts. I found an old thread mentioning Nashua Porsche dealer, is this still the recommended dealer?

I have heard stories of dealer valets&techs being idiots so I prefer good indy shops but certain things cannot be done by indy so I wondered where is a good MA porsche dealer.

Not sure of your location.... but if you are any where close to the south shore, I'd check out South Shore Autoworks in Kingston, Ma.
(borders Plymouth, Ma)

Justin Becker is the Master Tech and owner. He has a clean, modern shop and he specializes in Porsche having been the head tech at a area Porsche dealership.

I am close to Boston. However from what I read, independent shops cannot upgrade navigation and firmwares. So thats why I wanted to find which is the good dealer.

I had the navigation and firmware for my 2006 Boxster S done at Porsche of Westwood. They did a good job at a reasonable price.

A big +1 for South Shore Autoworks in Kingston,Ma. Just had my LN Pro Single Row installed last week after procrastinating for 3 years. Justin was extremely helpful answering all my questions and recommending other important preventative maintenance issues I'd been neglecting. These guys have an excellent loaner car program as well which makes dropping your car off for service so much easier. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that Justins hourly rate to be only $90.00 an hour. My former shop was getting $130.00.

I have had great service at Ira Porsche in Danvers. Ask for Stefano. He is very knowledgeable and fair.

I can recommend Porsche of Nashua or Porsche of Norwell. I've had good service at both dealers.
