Default Body / Paint pro in Boston area?

Hi all,

I have ordered a new ducktail for my 997 and will need to have it fitted and painted. Any recommendations for high quality work would be very much appreciated.

Thanks much,

Matt

Matt do a search, I seem to remember that there is one body shop in this area that consistently is recommended by members of this forum.

Definitely post some pictures when you're done, that should be a tasty mod!

Dick's Autobody in Somerville is often recommended for Pcar work.

Great guys - thanks VERY much. Ducktail is due in a week or so. I'll use this week to contact these shops. I am wicked excited on adding this ducktail.
Best,

Matt

Currently having my 968 repaired/repainted at Hanson & Tilton in Arlington. I and my family have been using them for years - top quality work. Most of their work is Audi/MB/BMW/Porsche and the owner does full classic restorations as a side hobby - some of the best paintwork I've seen.

Just wanted to thank everyone again. I dropped off my car and the new ducktail at Mike's Autobody this morning. Mike is a real porsche guy and was great to speak with. He even took me on a tour of what he's working on (restoring a racing 914 to it's Sebring glory) and had many other really nice cars.

Can't wait...

Matt you need to post some pictures when you're done.

Are you going to the PCA Concours coming up in May? Maybe we will all have a chance to see it installed on your car at that time?

Just back from Mike's Auto Body with the new 997 sport ducktail. Full write up with better pics very soon. Mike went the extra mile do make this thing perfect. It looks like a factory part with factory paint.

Now I need to have the "failed spoiler deployment" message turned off. My indie wants $200 which seems really high to me. Any thought on who might do this for a more reasonable fee?

Thanks

Matt

That looks like a very good paint match and more importantly that is an awesome modification. Are you going to the PCA concours in May?

Have had very good luck with All Wheels in Beverly (DD Saab). Believe they are one of the shops BMW of Peabody uses.

However, when and if my 964 has any work done, it'll go to Dick's. Glad to further comment.
