Location is Northern NJ,
Large restaurant franchise (90+ units) is currently seeking an experienced, dynamic IT Support Technician to support our New Jersey & New York Markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a technical computer background to help maintain and expand our quickly growing IT Infrastructure.
The ideal candidate must be customer service oriented, have exceptional communication skills, and be ready to work in a fast paced environment. This position will report to the IT Director and require travel within the NY/NJ area.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities:
• Administration of Active Directory 2003 User Environment - the ability to add/remove users, change permissions & profiles.
• Maintain remote locations windows based store Point of Sale systems and integration with back office systems.
• Daily help desk support for corporate and store systems.
• Installation and setup of new locations.
• Assist store and office personnel with IT related problems.
• Change and catalog Backup tapes
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• Basic understanding of common Internet service protocols: DNS, POP-3, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP, NNTP, LDAP, DHCP etc.
• Ability to Diagnose and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, network and Printer issues.
• Basic Networking skills
• Anti-virus software
• Hands on experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows XP Pro, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and other client server applications.
• Knowledge of standard MS Office Products.
• A desire to perform all tasks, whether basic or advanced, with the highest levels of quality and provide world-class IT support and customer service.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant work experience and IT Certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Transportation
Experience with the following would be a plus:
• Experience with Point of Sale systems (Micros, Digital Dining)
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics
• Knowledge of VPN
• Routers/Firewalls/Internet Security
• SQL Server admin
• Exchange 2003 Administration
• Dell Server hardware
• Compensation package including base salary
