Wanted: Summer Job for College Student - Monterey Bay
My son Nick is home for the summer following his first year of college at the University of Colorado. He is looking for a summer position in the Monterey Bay area - from Carmel to Santa Cruz.
He is a solid B-student (studying Physiology for now), and has passions for outdoor sports (competes at national collegiate level in mountain biking; snowboads for fun), and cars (inherited that from Dad - he had no choice). He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, something we don't hear much of these days, but to those who know, it speaks volumes about his abilities in planning, leadership, and communication, not to mention a very broad understanding of the world about us.
He communicates very well with adults, both in spoken and written formats. He has a fun sense if humor, but knows when to be serious as well - an outgoing personality on a "down-to-earth" foundation.
He will consider just about any position as his goal is to raise money to support his expenses during the school year. That said, he hasn't really considered the food industry (restaurants) yet.
Nick is available immediately through mid-August (leaving for school right after the Monterey Historics). He is currently signed-up for a summer class at UC Santa Cruz, MWF for about 2.5 hours in the midday, so flexibility for education would be required. Weekend work is OK.
