Default GT4 with BBS FI-R + Vorsteiner Goodies + Akrapovic = HEAVEN! | TAG Motorsports

The Cayman GT4 has been around for a bit now, so we are having the pleasure of working on these more and more. I never get tired of seeing them in here, and every build turns out different than the other. This one in specific, is our first Sapphire Blue Metallic GT4, and we are in love.

A properly tracked and rallied car, this GT4 needs to be a great driving machine, as well as look incredible at all times. With a perfect balance of “show” and “go, it’s absolutely stunning to hear, drive, and just observe.

The full Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Program for the GT4 brings just enough aggressiveness to the OEM lines and styling cues, making the GT4 a meaner and stronger version of itself. The additional blades in the diffuser, the more pronounced front lip and matching side-skirts all come together on the lower valance of the GT4, and the Carbon Fiber rear wing is the final cherry on top. In all, it is a perfect replacement for the OEM parts.

The Akrapovic Titanium exhaust system is astonishing to hear and beautifully crafted. Here’s a sample:

No car is complete without a fresh set of shoes. And for the sake of the metaphor, this set of BBS FI-R’s fit not like a glove, but better, like a custom tailored and fit shoe.

Here are the current mods for this GT4:

2016 Porsche GT4
- 20" BBS FI-R Wheels in Platinum Finish
- Vorsteiner Front Lip Spoiler
- Vorsteiner Side Skirts
- Vorsteiner Rear Diffusor
- Vorsteiner Rear Spoiler
- Akrapovic Exhaust System
- Cobb/Fabspeed Tune
- Fabspeed Sport Headers
- IPD Upgraded Plenum with GT3 Throttle Body
- BMC Air Filters
- TPC Toe Links
- DSC Sport Controller

I couldn’t stop taking photos of it, so there are quite a few. Please enjoy!

Gorgeous! So I see there are dive planes on that car...is that a Vorsteiner part?

Awesome!
The OCD jerk in me is bothered that the center caps are all oriented differently in the wheels. In the mean time I think I need to save my $$ for that exhaust.

If you enlarge the pics you can see that the fitment of the front spoiler is very very poor....not for me....

Good eye indeed, however that’s not poor fitment on the part, but instead damage from track and rally driving, as well as however many driveways have met the spoiler.

Here’s an example of the same part, freshly installed:

Sounds sublime, have Akra and can vouch for the exceptional level of craftsmanship. Very well put together with all the other bits.

Looks great!

Had no idea the giac was available for the gt4. Absolutely insane pricing at 1500... lol. Makes the Cobb look sickly cheap. Comes with canned tune + a hand held for logging any data + ability to get any custom tune you would like from a vendor for much cheaper than giac charges for a "one size fits all" nonsense.

The SBM and CF look great together. Akrapovic makes a nice set of mufflers with a unique sound.

I am curious. The diffuser looks a bit beefier than stock. Are these parts just for show and perform like the OEM or are there subtle benefits?

Actually the GIAC is incorrect and an error on TAGs part, Im rocking Fabspeed Sport headers, IPD upgraded plenum w/ gt3 throttle body, Fabspeed tune with a cobb. Other missed mods are TPC off-set toe links, with a DSC Sport controller.
