The GT4 clubsport is scheduled for a replacement in a couple of years. So a street GT4 will be offered. I will be upgrading my clubsport at that time as it will have 3-4 seasons on it.
Too early to know if it will be turbo or not.
Porsche has already stated that the Cayman has the optional S, GTS and GT4 as the bonus model. They are not interested in offering another model of a GT4 with RS badges to further dilute the small Cayman Market.
They have reserved the RS for the flagship 911 line.

Plus.....they will use the GT4 as a gateway drug for new and borderline GT3/RS customers.
Want more? Of course! Upgrade to GT3/RS and pay the premium!
I totally agree with you tcsracing1.

I am ok with the current rev match downshift feature but either we get a matching up shift feature or I prefer pdk. I hate using the clutch and losing time upshifting.
Maybe I just don't like using the clutch on track. I have enough issues dealing with guys with slicks and or high hp gt3s
That's actually the only improvement I think is needed on a gt4. I'm happy to use it stock and drive around the tyre wear.

Track use
I meant a more hardcore gt4 with pdk and optional front cage section that is rumoured to be homolgated for street use.

FWIW, I talked with an SA at an east coast dealership yesterday, He has a GT4 and seems to always have had good information; no guarantee of future results, though. He referenced the 718 Cayman GT4RS as if it was definite, and also that it would sport a 4.0 liter NA engine. We'll see!

Another article talking about the 4.0 in the next GT4.
Contains some limited new info that the new GT4 has been spotted in testing.
