Default Mobil 1 0w-50

Curious if anyone has tried Mobil 1 0w-50 for track use. Not sure if its worth twice the cost of Mobil 1 5w-50. If you have tried this, please chime in. Thanks

Are you talking their race oil? I think they don't sell a street version in the US? the race oil is very good but no detergent package and needs to be changed every 500 or so miles. I used to run it as a 50/50 mix with 0-40 in my lotus. 10,000+ track miles.

The 0w-50 is only recommended if you're running catless headers because of the 1750 ppm Phosphorus and 1850 ppm Zinc levels and their potential life shortening of cats.
0w-40 and 5w-50 are both 1000/1100 Phos./Zinc.
