Me too.
Ed - thanks for reaching out to confirm details.
For anyone considering this - the best compliment I can give is that no one notices them, and when I point them out to people - they say it looks like the OEM seat and they would not have guessed there was a cover in place! Doesn't get better than THAT!

Maybe once a month I'll cut zip ties and remove padding to gaze at my bolster cover protectors before I cover them up again. This way they stay nice!
(J/K)
Back to reality: What I've discovered is that having the bolsters protected takes a bit of stress away from getting in/out of the car. I no longer think about it - I just enjoy the car and I'm not worried about excessive wear on the seat.
And the beauty is that I don't notice that my seats have protection because the covers look so good.
Thanks Ed!!

Agreed. Just spent some time researching protection for the protectors! I think I'm going to order some of the insulation material used to pad roll cages. I'll cut it to length, zip tie it around and over bolster protectors.

I didn't want to have to bark orders at other people getting in my car ...
(They already think I am too tightly wound up )
Thanks everyone for your kind words
Makes it all worth the effort

Just a quick update on the 1st round orders
About 1/2 will ship tomorrow ...
The other 1/2 about the end of the week
Sorry if there is a delay, as I lost some time with the key guy being out for almost a week...
I will email all those, when their orders ship. ( that day, with tracking info )
Best regards
Ed

Just saw this
LOL
From time to time
Its all about protection
I think you may like this Mooty ( for Hans device rubbing on back or headrest )
Full hide OEM leather ...can't beat that for protection
Also avail with French stitching if desired

another thumbs up for Eddie
The quality and finish is outstanding. Anyone with deviated stitching shouldn't hesitate. The red stitching on mine is an EXACT match with the factory. Great product.

With the Necksgen HANS, when it does rub, it tends to rub against the carbon fiber in-between the headrest and the back pad area. Basically, the area not covered by the headrest cover...
This cover looks like it would work great for the traditional HANS devices that stick something behind the helmet itself.

I should have posted this version too :-)
Would this do the trick ?

When I tried the necksgen it did not rub the seat back at all. I just didn't like the way it fit me and I was told it was the correct size. I was swimming in it, and it moved a lot under my belts even when cinched down. When I tried the Schroth Flex I knew I found something that worked.
Everyone is different and obviously height and build come into play in terms of what fits, and also whether it contacts the seat back. It's nice that we have some alternatives to HANS which was the only game in town for many years.
