Joe, Marty (Mech33) and Michael (doborder) were putting on a clinic out there yesterday. Weather stayed perfect - great day!

My PB of 1:39.4 was at the same event, on new RE71R tires in stock sizes. The trick was drafting Joe!

Wow guys! Really good vids and great driving! Very fun to watch Marty chasing Joe!

Joe, you do so many things well! Fast fast fast upshifting! Great commitment to the throttle. Very precise with your line. And always using all the pavement you paid for. Impressive driving. Wondering why you don't wear sunglasses. Between the sun in your eyes and the glare on the track in that Sonoma vid I'd think it would be helpful.

Did that black Mustang survive the day??

Are you all using sport mode for auto blip downshifting?? Seems that way.

Congrats on smashing your prior best lap time into smithereens! What do you think of the GT4 vs your old GT3 at this point?

Thanks, man. Still working on being even more committed to the throttle and using even more of the track, which that e46 race car in front of me is VERY good at doing. Funny you ask about the sunglasses because I used to wear them all the time. I had a problem with my contacts earlier this year and had to wear my regular glasses and ever since then, I stopped wearing sunglasses. The light hasn't been bothering me for whatever reason...

LOL on the black mustang. He is a good buddy of mine and a very good driver. I've been giving him a hard time for selling his GT4 to get that 350R. My goal is to make him regret selling the GT4 by making sure I stay faster than his 350R. I'm doing a good job so far.
The got a chance to drive the 350R and it is just a very difficult car to drive smoothly. The throttle is very twitchy, seating position is no good, and the car sits high off the ground which gives you no confidence

Yes, autoblip downshift except for that one session where Mech33 is chasing me. I somehow accidentally turned it off or forgot to turn it on. That whole session I had a hard time getting into gear and the rear end of the car was getting kicked out when I downshifted and messed up my attempts to drive smoothly. Stupid me should have figured it out sooner.

Nice driving all!

Joe, I am a glasses wearer and prefer glasses to contacts at the track, so I just go for an iridium shield. It's a bit more stuffy / hot with the visor down, but so much $%&^ used to fly into my Lotus on the track, I am used to visor down.

I might consider that with my next helmet since my current one is about to expire!

Whoa that 350R almost went cars and coffee on you in the corkscrew. Glad he kept it together. Nice driving!

Yeah kudos to him I don't possess the skill to control a car like that.
